Our titles by Brian Radcliffe
Brian is a writer and teacher who has specialised both in the delivery of innovative assemblies and the use of drama techniques to promote active learning. For 12 years he was minister of a Baptist church, focusing particularly on culturally relevant communication. Since 1998 he has been a part-time member of staff at Fallibroome High School, a high achieving specialist performing arts school in Cheshire.
Brian writes extensively for Optimus Education, both as a team writer for the Secondary Assembly File and Teaching Expertise’s topical web based assemblies, and as sole author of a number of books of assembly scripts. Assemblies for Special Days KS 3 and KS 4/5 were both published in 2003. Secondary Assemblies for SEAL was published in 2008 specifically to support schools in implementing Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning. In the same year Network Curriculum Education published Creative Assemblies in their Ideas in Action series. The autumn of 2009 will see the writing of a second series of SEAL assemblies, this time specifically relating to the topic of sport.
