New safeguarding guidance for primary schools
New safeguarding guidance for primary schools will be launched this autumn following research by the Children's Commissioner.
The guidance will focus on best practice in the following areas:
- responding to concerns raised about abuse and neglect
- identifying risk and harm
- promoting prevention
- supporting and advising children.
It will be available to schools from autumn 2012.
