A recent report from the Education Data Survey highlights that 26% of vacancies for primary headteachers advertised in January 2013 were re-advertised within 60 days. This is a 10% increase on re-advertised roles in January 2012.
In her speech marking the State Opening of Parliament on Wednesday 8 May, the Queen referred to plans to introduce a new National Curriuclum, restructure the way in which teachers are given pay rises, and reform exams.
Today the government announced its legislative programme for the next parliamentary year in the Queen’s speech. The speech emphasised that one of the government’s key priorities is to reward ‘hard-working families’.
